When Caroline Sunshine showed up to at the BOP & Tiger Beat offices for an interview, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the tips of her long blonde hair were dyed pink! Why add the bright color to her already beautiful locks you might ask? Turns out it’s not just a fashion statement – she did it to honor her grandmother, Silvia, a breast cancer survivor and Caroline’s biggest fan.
Because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Caroline thought it would be the perfect time to pay tribute to her grandma. “I just thought since she’s a little funky and quirky, this would be a proper way to honor her,” says Caroline. The Shake It Up actress says that her grandmother “loves glamour and dressing up” and what’s more glamorous than pretty pink tips? We’re sure that Caroline’s “Meemaw,” as she calls her, is glowing with pride.
